Strengthening Chair/CEO Practice Workshop

I was thrilled to be joined by a 40 Chairs and Ceos of cultural institutions from all over the UK today, for the first workshop stemming from the Strengthening Chair/CEO Practice guidance I authored for Arts Council England. Thanks to Cultural Governance Alliance for presenting the workshop.    It was terrific to see so many Chairs & CEOs attending the afternoon together, and taking away lists of actions they will now implement within their own organisations, and very helpful for me to have feedback on workshop content from such an experienced group of sector leaders.  Whether museums, heritage sites, producing companies or venues, governance challenges were much the same.   Lucky to be hosted by Hackney Empire, a Matcham gem in vibrant Hackney centre.  With thanks to our hosts new CEO Chris Sudworth and Chair Sir William Atkinson, who both agreed to be interviewed by my on how their new CEO/ Chair relationship was being formed- with generous responses and a lot of insights shared.
